Boque Petit
Jeannie and Angus opened the door of Boque Petit in October 2009. Their intention was to serve good homely rustic food using good quality local ingredients. Today we also provide outside and event catering with the same ethics as the shop in Newmarket. In addition, Gringos, provide quality Mexican food in the evening- delivered directly to your door.
Cherished (Market Street) offer the very best in contemporary cards, gifts and fine art located over 2 floors. We continually aim to offer a shopping experience that will be inspirational and affordable, so we personally source and select gifts which we know will be cherished (hence our name!) by the recipient.
The Upper Gallery is one of the areas finest dedicated contemporary art spaces. Two large gallery rooms showcase the very best in local and regional contemporary art through a monthly ever changing calendar of exhibitions.
With a range of over 400 wines from 14 countries ChezVin (New Market) has something for everyone and to suit everyone’s pocket. Independent does not have to mean expensive but it does mean value for money.
David’s knowledge means he can find the right wine for all your needs be it dinner parties, parties or just enjoying for yourselves.
Other than a great range of wines ChezVin also stocks over 100 Whiskies from around the world (with more than 80 of them single malts) and a great range of other spirits and liqueurs that are hard to come by anywhere else.

Chippendale’s fish & chips
Its a family run business and although the shop has been trading for many years, the present owners, Mr & Mrs Iqbal and family have been trading for two years. All our frying is done in pure vegetable oil so is also suitable for all our vegitarian customers. We welcome customers old and new into our shop where seating is available downstrairs, outside or in our small 24 seater restaurant situated above.

With its principle of ‘High street jewellery at Market Street prices’ Otley Jewellers (New Market) provides jewellery and gifts at the price they should be and not at inflated prices. We know this because we use some of the same suppliers, that meet our high standard, as the high street jewellers and chains and a lot they don’t but really should.
Otley Jewellers is committed to giving its customers quality jewellery at a good price and so do not sell jewellery that may look the same but is lighter, weaker and uses poorer quality diamonds and gemstones.
Odonata is an exciting new Gallery that opened at the beginning of April at 8a Market Street. It’s run by Jenny Gregory, a glass artist specialising in fushed glass wall art, free standing panels, vases, clocks, bowls, coasters, lighting & jewellery and Mary Cormican who specialises in silver Precious Metal Clay, Swarovski crystal jewellery and chain maille. The Gallery will also house original works by other local artists, with currently wall art from Miriam Laville, copper and silver work from Betty Bently, Karen Ross and others with work from other artisits to follow in the weeks to come – commissions of course are always welcome! A few carefully selected Fair Trade goods are also on display. Demonstrations and classes in bead making, glass fusing, making silver Jewellery from precious metal clay, chain maille and beadweaving are on offer too. Studio Seven Gallery
Studio Seven was established in July 2009 by resident artist James Davis as a place to paint and sell his own artwork which is currently commissioned pop art portraiture, varying from family and pets to iconic personalities. Since then the number of artists has grown substantially as has the gallery’s reputation for supplying unique yet affordable artworks ranging from sculpture and lino cuts to wall filling abstract landscapes.
